September Meeting:
Video/DVD Night

We start a new season on September 11th at our usual spot, Angelo’s on Main.  We’ll set up themes for the rest of the season, and work out the details of Magic Night at the restaurant (November 11).  We’ll have our trusty DVD player on hand, so if you have something you think the club should see, bring it along.  The meeting starts at 7:30PM.  Join us for dinner, if you can, at 6:00 PM.  See ya!
[Late addition:  President Dan asks that you share a story of “How You Spent Your (Magical) Summer.”]

“Minutes” of August Meeting

14 August 2006  5:30 PM

The gang met on an ideal Monday afternoon to attend David Garrity’s show at Six Flags New England.  Dave started with an appearance from a large translucent box and ended with “Snow.”  In between, he did close-up work such as “teaching” a reverse “Professor's Nightmare” and “Borrowed Ring to Gumball Machine,” and large-scale productions such as “Interlude” and “Table of Death.”  In the middle, he brought a youngster up on stage and made him into a magician who then cut one of his dancers in half.

After the show, Dave met with our group and chatted about the show and the preparation needed for such a production.  It appears that Dave really knows what he's doing--this is his fifteenth year in the park!

When Last We Met

David Garrity, surrounded by his show’s co-stars, plus members and friends of the Assembly, including the current officers, and PNP Rich Dooley.
