October: The History of Assembly Twenty-One

November: Aldo Colombini lecture

←   Dan and Dana showed some pictures taken during the afternoon.  Although attendance was not as high as the VA expected, those who were there greatly enjoyed it.
Treasurer Walt Umberfield reminded us all that dues are due.  [Send your $20 to Walt].

Adjourned at 7:55 PM.

Aftermeeting: Spooky Stuff!

Dan read something on SAMTalk months ago about special pens with heat-erasable ink.  He followed up and demonstrated them.  He also did Bruce Kalver's Big & Small Head, and an Instant Picture of a haunted house.  Lastly, he did Needle Through Arm.
Angelo expanded on that theme by moving dental floss through his neck.
Rick had Cal Vinick select a card.  The card was torn into small bits and a number was chosen.  Only the chosen number was identifiable among the pieces.  Later, he performed, “Choices.”  Both random and deliberate choices were made with piles of cards.  The piles were shown to match.
Marlene Clark told a story, using Tarot cards, of the only person convicted of witchcraft in 1647.  At the end, the last tarot card left...was Death!
Dana performed Bob Neale’s “Thirteen At Dinner.”
Soll Levine showed us a little model of a castle tower that he showed empty, from which he pulled a princess (doll) and a six-foot dragon.
Ed Cook performed the “Ghost Trap” (Glorpy).
Guest Teddy Radu showed a “Death” card, and another (normal) card was selected.  The card vanished and a picture of that card appeared “held” by Death.  Also, he had a card selected and signed on the front.  Another signed on the back.  The signatures ended up on the front and back of the same card.
