January Meeting:
The Number “1”

Start off the new year by going back to the basics.  For tonight’s theme, you have a choice:  show us what you got for the Holidays, or show us something incorporating the number one.  How you use the number is entirely up to you.  Be with us this “month number one,” January 12.  Join us at 7:30 PM, preceded by dinner at 6:00 PM.

Aftermeeting: Aldo Colombini lecture

Aldo and his wife Rachael showed us many practical effects, performed with wit and skill.  Among the effects were

  • Zodiac Code—a month/color force
  • Countdown—after a triple deal, the top card matches a prediction
  • three rope routines—all on one DVD
  • Missing Link—unlinking a pair of ropes
  • 10-card poker deal (the Jonah card)
  • Composition
  • a Ring & Rope routine
  • Signed, Sealed & Delivered

plus others. All of the Colombini effects, and there are more on his website, wildcolombini.com, are sold at only $10 each. “Bargain” is putting it mildly. A great lecture and a wonderful night.
