July Meeting:
Birthday Magic

Join us in July to celebrate the 90th birthday of John Marenholtz.  MI Angelo Chirico will provide hot dogs, burgers, and fries, on him.  (Your favorite beverage, however, is on you.  VP Dan Sclare promised there will be cake.  All members are asked to perform a birthday trick for John.  Get in on the fun with us on July 13 at 7:30 PM.

VP Dan Sclare called the meeting to order.
The Secretary’s report was accepted as published.
The Treasurer reported our balance.
Old Bus.: none this month.
New Bus.: The next meeting will be “Birthday Magic,” celebrating John Marenholtz’s 90th birthday.
The Assembly appointed Dana Ring as delegate to the National Council meeting in July.
Marlene Clark sang the praises of the convention in Buffalo, encouraging any and all to attend.
Good & Wel.: Assembly #29 in Waterbury will host a lecture by Norman Beck in Naugatuck on August 24th.

Next came our star attraction, a lecture by Gazzo.

To start out, Gazzo had compeer Kevin Aust sign a card which then repeatedly returned to Gazzo's pocket without our seeing it.  As a climax, all the cards except →

When Last We Met

←   Kevin's suddenly appeared in the pocket.  Gazzo then did an Egg Bag routine, complete with 8-ball, and went into great detail about the Malini bag, its history and application.
After a brief intermission, Gazzo did "a couple of card tricks," including guessing the cards drawn by six spectators at the same time.  The method is devilish.  For his finale, Gazzo performed his fabulous cups-and-balls routine.  Orange you glad you saw it?
