  4. The psychology of choosing the proper participant.

  7. How to make a simple trick a theatrical and memorable experience for your audience.
  8. A day in the life of a magician.
  9. Magic on the move.  (How to practice performance in everyday situations.)

Minutes of August Meeting

9 August 2010  7:32 PM

MI Angelo Chirico called the meeting to order.
Treas. Rpt: [Balance reported]
Sec. Rpt.: Accepted as published.
Old Bus.: We ratified the by-laws of the new combined SAM/IBM club: The Central Connecticut Magicians Association, consisting of SAM Assembly #21 and IBM Ring #278.
New Bus.: Dan Sclare contacted the “McGuyver lecture&rdquo guy [Scott Francis], but he's not available for Sept. (Jan. or Feb. is better).  Dan talked to Steve Wronker who volunteered to take 'publicity photos' of the members in Sept. [pushed to October so we can have the lecture].  Dan introduced Brian Miller, newly arrived from Buffalo.  He'll do excerpts from his DVD [at a future meeting].
Angelo would like to have a magic show on October 30 at the restaurant.  This will be a public show—patrons are invited to come in costume.
The Ellington Country Club will rent our stage for a function on Sept. 11.
Good&Wel.: We are happy to have John Marenholtz back with us after recovering from his injury.  John Conforti passed away in June.  SAM#17 is having a picnic on August 15 at Look Park in Massachusetts.  VP Dan got married to Patty two weeks ago.
